I’ve made and posted resolutions on whatever blog I’m using for the past five years and always end up fulfilling more than I expect, so not fixing what ain’t broke. If last year’s theme was “YOLO”, this year’s is probably something like “Who cares?” I’m proud to say that I’ve learned a great deal on how to work with rather than against my body, so this year’s resolutions are less health-related. Also, my social life is fine–if anything, I had too much fun in the last year–so rather than meeting new people, I’m focusing on personal and career growth.
IMPORTANT ISHT
Sleep 7-8 hours a night
Maintain a balance of dance classes, biking, running, yoga
Call my favorite family members once a month
Start accepting that I want a serious relationship and stop dating guys who clearly do not
Worry less and be more positive. Half the time I think this is the most important goal but other times I’m perfectly happy with my healthy dose of cynicism and unachievable expectations
SLIGHT WORK
Kick ass at my new copywriting job
Find a career mentor
Take on new responsibilities outside of my job description (learn the design process//project management/make more presentations/build client relationships)
Develop a kick ass portfolio
Write that screenplay
FUN & EASY
Visit Russia and China
Visit Portland, Seattle and Vancouver
Get another tattoo
Up my fashion game–stop buying black clothes!
Post at least once a week
I love this list of resolutions!
Happy New Year! These are awesome resolutions. Those travels will bring you to some beautiful and unique places (being from the Pacific Northwest I’m a little biased there, but I also have fond memories of gems like the Long Ji One Hotel in Ping An, China, and would love to travel to Russia). It’s so great to hear you’re writing a screenplay and I’ll be looking forward to your weekly blog posts 🙂
