dance spot #3 courtesy of danijo: here

oh the air is a-buzz with SAT talk and other three letter words-

my motto: high school is just boring crap that you have to get through and do well in so the rest of your life can be happier i.e. far far away. so sometimes i see people having lots of fun. “cool” people too i mean not stereotypical cool but fitting my definition of cool, even. at least to the untrained eye because they usually turn out to be disappointing, they are only wankers with a sugary shell of cool. which means we have nothing in common-at least nothing that really matters in common. no more will i be mislead by someone who likes the same band or wears the same shoe as me! i find out these say nothing about them and i wonder if i am also quite anti-climatic to them as vice-versa. i mean who has that much fun in high school AND graduates? but there is a hope, much like a concert that has horrific opening bands but you still stand there waiting through it, sometimes even feigning dance because it’s a way to kill some time- to see your beloved singer that comes out last. i’d like to believe that college is my oberst. that way i feel okay about my current nolifeness and when i get bombarded with NHS, SATs etc..  i’d love to fuck it all and go “alternative”. beat the system. i dont have the guts. if doing this rubbish is the sure way to get away from some of the wankers and wankish customs of high school, i’m so on it.

>< now i’m the one who sounds like a wanker; please contradict me. but my morbid motto does make me happier?

  1. my motto is “keep all that you do a surprise”
also “if you can’t handle the faces, get out of the house”
I like yours a lot, especially when you said college was your oberst, good metaphor.
don’t put too much of you faith in college though, i mean it’s definitly way tons better than high school but depending on where you go the people can still suck a lot.  come to college with me and we’ll have a fun time and it will be a gauranteed cool friend for the both of us.

  2. i think that your head is on tremendously straight. and for that i’d like to burry us in a rainbow of lemon-poppyseed scones.
ps. if you want proof of said straightness: you are one of very few that understood my last post. and as for the rankings of people in the world that understood my post, you come in at #3. which is the best you can do without being my bailey or kaitlin. i’m going to make you a pin soon.

  3. There are a bunch of over achievers at my school, as well as the people who like my favorite bands and wear the same shoes, but they disappoint. It’s nice to hear that I’m not alone in being unsattisfied with high school–for the same reasons.

  5. high school is depressing. thats why all these teenagers have angst. i swear it.
i just made that up. it sounded real.
and i am not a stranger! how dare you. : ( have fun shopping tomorrow. : ) chalk beebe
we’ll get up and dance around your room in love.

  6. damn straight you are!and i mean that in a non-sexual-affiliation sort of fashion.this post makes me want to take out a red flag and re-enact the french revolution! AARR. 😀

  7. I was thinking the same thing. Sure people like what they like, but that’s nothing to base anything on. High is dramatic, but we’ll get over it. [Or we’ll get into more dramatic situations. Ha.] And talk about graduating..it’s harder then it seems, yet it’s easy. Again you said things I couldn’t say.
We should talk sometime. It would be nice.Somewhat hypocritical.
